Using passive defence indices, this paper presents a location finding for a site or a new village that could be employed for the habitation of the local people and the services or facilities that further encourages habitation in Bastak, a part of Hormozgan Provine. To achieve this goal, the strong and accurate GIS, along with Ahp model have been used to analyze the maps. Passive defence is a collection of strategies, plans and ventures that reduces vulnerability against threats. This notion is sometimes referred to as Prevention. Regarding present situation of the country, security and defence measures are the first priority and observing principles of passive defence seems to be a major part of the sustainable development. According to the aim of this study, different layers of data including human and natural factors have been incorporated to give maps the ability to sketch various potentialities of the region. Finally all the maps have been weighed and integrated to constitute one single whole which exhibits plains and optimized points for the erection of a new village. To name a few of natural factors used in this paper we can refer to topography, geology, land potentiality, river, fault, point of view, slope of the region etc. Of human factors the following can be mentioned: rural points, urban points, communicative lines and population of the region.
