Hormozgan’s Press

Press as the fourth principle of democracy plays an important role in the cultural, political, and social relation among the different states and nations. This study is based on the descriptive and documentary method. The paper first refers to India as the first country where the Persian newspaper for the first time was published. Then, it refers to the role of the southern ports- as a cultural mediation- in the arrival of the newspaper to Iran. Then the way reading houses were established in Iran and Hormozgan will be presented. After that the formation, content, and press publication forms in Hormozgan from the beginning to 1389 will be studied.
