The folk-tales and myth in Hormozgan like other components of the folk culture are full of diverse mythological motifs and the old beliefs and rituals of the nations. Therefore, it has the potential to be used as an important source for studying the Iranian culture and thought, anthropology, sociology, and generally cultural studies. Fairy as a mythological and super-natural being in the structure of Hormozgan’s folk-tales has been embodied as an earthly and wise being, and has turned to a beautiful girl. Nevertheless, it is still a marvelous creature and displays its fairy-like characteristics and attributes in many tales.  In these tales, fairies and fairy-like women appear to men as a human being or an animal in order to fulfill their reproductive roles. Then, they try to marry them through love expression. So it is necessary for every individual of a nation to retain this valuable heritage and tradition because no nation can continue its way for a long time without relying on the basis of its national culture. Indeed, the folklore of each region is the representative of the feelings, interests, needs, the intellectual development of the people living in that area, and it accounts for what people of an area have been proud of or loved. Studying the folklore gives identity to a nation or region and humanness to man, and leads him to the peak of perfection. In fact, each nation’s folklore is the reflection of the social and cultural life, the way of working and producing, the manner and attitudes, thoughts, feelings, religion, and ethics, and the beliefs in a society. In other words, since the folklore belongs to a nation, it is linked to the facts of the everyday life of that nation’s people. Therefore, the fundamental principles of the folklore is based on the people’s simple understanding of some concepts such as life, death, nature, dreams, and utopia, etc. this paper tries to study the folklore and the oral literature  of the people in Hormozgan vey briefly.  So, some proverbs, riddles, lullabies, motels, and tales belonging to Hormozgan’s people and what is called the oral culture will be introduced and studied.  However, it should be noted that the concise study of each element of the oral literature needs more time and space which cannot be included in this brief paper. }, Keywords = { Tale, Proverb, Riddle, Lullaby, Motel, Oral culture, Hormozgan’s people. }, volume = {4}, Number = {6}, pages = {62-87}, publisher = { ministry of culture and islamicguidance of hormozga}, url = {http://rdch.ir/article-1-50-en.html}, eprint = {http://rdch.ir/article-1-50-en.pdf}, journal = {Cultural Journal of Hormozgan}, issn = {24767328}, eissn = {}, year = {2013} } @article{ author = {}, title = {The Morphological Characteristics in Bandari Dialect}, abstract ={The present paper tries to examine the morphological characteristics of Bandari dialect. He considers everything in life as vague. The insufficient information about the creation of mankind since the beginning of the world around him led man unconsciously to glorify many natural and unnatural elements, or to consider them as gods and to take refuge on them because of the fear about the events surrounding him, or he believed in them as gods in addition to his belief in unique God. So, as a result myth and world’s mythological principles were created. Some poets have reflected various mythological discussions in their poems. One of the poets whose poems can be viewed in terms of myth is the eighth century’s poet, Khajouye Kermani. In this paper we examine the mythological elements in Khajouye Kermani’s poems especially the mythological gods to whom he implores, and then compare them to other nation’s myths. Generally, in Khajou’s implorings, the general myth is manifested in the three ways: Elements which are categorized as mythological deities and are directly worshiped. Mythological deities who are not directly implored, but have a role in the different characters’ imploring in Khajou’s poems. This ritual has been also reported in some other countries such as the Persian Gulf countries, Egypt, and some areas of Africa. The southern people of Iran, from one hand, believe that Zaar is related to the concept of Ahle-hava, and on the other hand, it is known as a genie that has a long background in the primitive religions of Africa and other ancient faiths. However, there are many distinctions between the initial origins of Zaar and its current rituals. An accurate understanding of this ritual can be possible only through analyzing its origins: a topic which despite a few papers and dissertations regarding Zaar has been neglected until now. In this paper the reports of the believers in Zaar in the south of Iran has been compared and evaluated with the ancient mythological stories using a documentary- historical research method and the analytical approach. This study indicates that there are some significant similarities and affinities between the Zaar ritual in Hormozgan district and the ancient mythologies and faiths of the world specially the god of wind (vaay) and the idle gods in the African Mythology.
