Since nowadays fiction is inspired by the life of ordinary people and it addresses the problems, concerns and struggles of this class of the society, it is largely under the influence of the folk culture. Using the library method and the document analysis, the present study attempts to investigate three areas of folk culture: strengthening the culture, transferring the culture, and the children. The relationship among these three issues is examined based on the prominent theoretical discussions and the empirical research in these three areas, particularly in Iran. The results of this study show that Iran has a rich cultural civilization consisting of various and distinctive folklores in the vast geographical zones and this cultural ability has the potential to create necessary motivation for their transfer to children. However, since folklore has a special power in traditional developing societies, sometimes this opportunity turns into a threat that needs planning.
