The present study was conducted aiming to analyze educational inequalities
in the counties of Hormozgan Province. This study is an applied research
that falls in the descriptive-analytical research category. The method of collecting
information is library research and the data collection tools, given
the research goals, were based on standardized tools such as tables and common
forms included in the population and housing consensus (Especially the
2015 Statistical Yearbook of Hormozgan Province). It is worth noting that
the statistical population of the study was 13 counties in Hormozgan province.
Twenty two components from educational indicators were extracted
from the official statistics of the province to assess educational development
levels. Then the gray relation method and the cluster hierarchy analysis were
used to analyze the components. The assessment reveals wide gaps in distributing
and allocating educational opportunities among different counties.
It also concludes that Abu Musa County is the only one to score 84/0, which
is the highest educational development level in the province. A dozen other
counties benefit from a modest level of educational development. Another
result is that a sort of deprivation dominates Hormozgan province in terms
of educational development.
