Abstract
Itineraries as a media is the personal efforts and curiosities of the writer, who brings these experiences to his own culture. Since itineraries are written without any obligation, they are out of the writer’s passion and observations only. Therefor there are vigilant and full of details and clues. In comparison with history books that are written by the order of the monarchs, itineraries are more realistic and more acceptable. This applies to the “Itineraries of the Anonymous Telegrapher” as well. Thus this text which has been neglected to this day contains a unique statistic and reports of the cities and roads in Iran in the mid Ghajar era, in order to locate the telegraph lines from Tehran to Bushehr. This study utilizes descriptive analysis method for the text and its related subjects and The results prove that the spread and use of Telegraph –which has been for the economic benefit of the colonial United Kingdom- has become an important tool for communication and enlightenment of the masses at the final stage of the Ghajar dynasty which led to the Iranian Constitutional Revolution.
