Phenomenology of Citizens' Perceptions of Bandar Abbas's Concept of 'Native Culture' (Case Study of Bandar Abbas City)

The purpose of this study is to study the perception and understanding of the citizens of Bandar Abbas by the concept of “indigenous culture” using phenomenological method. The field of study included citizens of Bandar Abbas, Hormozgan province. Participants were selected based on purposive sampling method and the data collection process continued until finally, according to the theoretical saturation model, 16 citizens of Bandar Abbas were studied using semi-structured interview method. The data were analyzed by thematic analysis to identify the major categories and themes. After identifying the main codes and their prominent themes, the internal and external horizons were plotted and the result space was designed. In the concluding section, the study was conducted using Bandar Abbas Citizens' Imagery and Experience Analysis method. The results indicate that citizens' perceptions are categorized into four main themes: indigenous norms, oral and public literature, clothing and apparel.
