Abstract
Folktales are considered to be part of the folk literature and folk literature itself is also part of people's knowledge or folk culture, which is commonly known as "Folklore".
In Hormozgan province, fables, short stories, and folktales have been transmitted orally from one generation to the next and in some regions they are commonly known as "Bap Gapoo and Mom Gapoo Chi Chi Kas ". In fact these Chi Chi Kas are the language of the heart and soul of Hormozgan people and a way by which they can express their mentality, their hopes, wishes and desires. They have remained from the past and although ancient history has left a trace on them, they are still alive, dynamic, and enlightening, and popular among common people.
This research intends to provide a content analysis of Chi Chi Kas because Chi Chi Kas reflect the lifestyle, ideology, and religious beliefs of people. The folktales of Hormozgan province abound with wise advices and witty points, and they show the role of the grand thoughts of Hormozgan people in strengthening the religious and moral teachings.
