Abstract
Begging is not a new social phenomenon and it dates back to the history of human formation. It is a known social damage that is the result of the social and economic structures of the society and the birth of poverty and social inequalities. The purpose of this research is to investigate the factors affecting loneliness from the perspective of citizens in Bandar Abbas city. In this article, the confrontation between citizens and beggars is explained based on three theoretical perspectives: functionalism, labeling (with emphasis on Simmel's theory) and structuring (Giddens). The present research method is descriptive-correlation survey type. The statistical population in this research includes citizens over 18 years of age living in Bandar Abbas city, according to the statistical population and the Cochran formula, 384 people were selected as a statistical sample to conduct the research. The researcher used the questionnaire to obtain the required information and finally the data was analyzed using Spss software. The results of the research showed that the variables of social participation, social responsibility, social trust, social capital, social health, religious adherence, media consumption and lifestyle had an inverse and significant relationship with citizens' views on the phenomenon of begging, but The perspective of citizens, the variables of social deprivation and superstition have a direct and significant relationship with begging.
