students in Hormozgan University of Medical Science

Abstract
Religion is one of the oldest and most important social institutions and all societies throughout history have been religion. This study examined the relationship between media consumption (domestic and satellite TV) with the students is religiosity. This study was conducted using a survey method. The study consisted of all new students studying in the Faculty of Medical Sciences University of Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences in the academic year 95-94 who questionnaire based on census between all of them (new students) have been distributed. The data collected with the help of software spss using descriptive and inferential statistical methods were analyzed. The findings of the study indicated the average level of religiosity among students in Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences. Analytical results indicate that the rate of domestic TV with religion there is a significant positive relationship. Between religious aspects of the ceremonial aspect has been the most strongly associated with the use of domestic TV. The use of domestic TV also has a positive relationship with other religious aspects, but this correlation was not significant statistically.The results show a significant inverse relationship between consumption of satellite TV is the whole of religion. The outcome has the greatest intensity of the relationship between emotional and religious aspects with the use of satellite TV was. Religious and ritualistic aspects of religion have been no significant relationship with satellite TV.
